Accounting in Platinum ERP: the books write themselves from the operation
The accounting module is the centre of Platinum ERP. Every register receipt, purchase invoice, stock transfer and salary run posts its journal entry automatically, so the accountant reviews and analyses instead of retyping. Customer and supplier balances, cash, banks and cheques are always current, and the financial statements are ready at any moment, for one branch or for the whole company.

What the accounting module covers
Chart of accounts and journal entries
A flexible chart of accounts in Arabic and English. Entries are generated automatically from sales, purchases, inventory and payroll, and manual entries are available for adjustments, with every entry linked back to its source document.
Receipts, payments and cheques
Receipt and payment vouchers, cash boxes per branch and cashier, and tracking of post-dated cheques received and issued, from receipt to collection or return.
Banks and reconciliation
Several bank accounts, transfers between banks and cash boxes, and reconciliation of the bank statement against the system, so the balance you see is the balance in the bank.
Customers and suppliers
Account statements, ageing of receivables and payables, credit limits and due dates, visible to sales and purchasing at the moment they need them.
Branches and cost centres
Each branch, warehouse or department can be followed as a separate profit centre, with consolidated results for the company in the same reports.
Financial statements and tax
Trial balance, income statement, balance sheet and cash movement on demand, plus the sales tax figures that match the invoices sent to JoFotara.
How one sale reaches the books
The sale
The cashier scans the items or the scale label and closes the receipt.
The entry
Platinum posts revenue, sales tax, cost of goods and cash or card collection automatically.
The stock
Quantities are deducted from the branch warehouse and the item cost is updated.
The tax
The invoice is submitted to JoFotara and its QR code is stored with the document.
The report
The figure appears in the income statement and in the Platinum Owners app the same moment.

Questions about Platinum accounting
Do I still need to enter sales entries by hand?
No. Sales, purchases, returns, stock movements and payroll post their entries automatically. Manual journal entries are kept for adjustments and opening balances.
Can I see the results of each branch separately?
Yes. Each branch can be followed as a profit centre, and the same reports show the consolidated figures for the whole company.
Does it handle post-dated cheques?
Yes. Cheques received and issued are recorded with their due dates and followed until they are collected, deposited or returned.
Can I move my opening balances from my current system?
Yes. Migrating the chart of accounts, opening balances, customers and suppliers is part of the implementation, and our team agrees the file format with you.
