What the inventory module covers
Items and barcodes
Item cards in Arabic and English with categories, brands, several barcodes per item and images used by the e-store app.
Units and weighed goods
Piece, carton and kilo units with conversion between them, and weighed items priced by the Mettler Toledo scales with weight-based barcode labels.
Warehouses and branches
Separate stock for every branch and warehouse, with transfers between them that are tracked from dispatch to receipt.
Stock counts
Physical counts entered from a PDA in the aisles with the Platinum Uploader app, compared with book stock and settled with an adjustment.
Reorder and alerts
Minimum and maximum levels per item and warehouse, with lists of items to reorder before the shelf runs empty.
Cost and valuation
Item cost updated with every purchase, and stock valuation and movement reports per item, category and warehouse.

Questions about Platinum inventory
Can I sell the same item by the piece and by the carton?
Yes. Each item can have several units with a conversion factor, and each unit can have its own barcode and price.
How are weighed items handled?
The scale prints a barcode that carries the item and the weight or price; the register reads it and the exact quantity is deducted from stock.
Can I count stock without closing the shop?
Yes. Counts are entered from a PDA with the Platinum Uploader app by section, and the differences are reviewed before the adjustment is posted.
Does every branch have its own stock?
Yes. Every branch and warehouse has its own quantities, and transfers between them are recorded and tracked.
